The Client’s Challenges

Caterleisure Group had problems with their previous IT provider for telephony and broadband services for the cafés and shops it operates at the airport. Several incidents of broadband downtime meant that staff couldn’t take contactless payments. This not only meant a loss of revenue, but also a poor experience for some regular and loyal customers. Some of these downtime incidents occurred during the 2024 Isle of Man TT festival when tens of thousands of visitors fly from around the world to see the famous motorcycle races. With the vast majority of visitors using contactless payments rather than cash, this was a major headache for the Caterleisure team.

Eager to avoid these problems reoccurring, in the summer of 2024 Caterleisure decided to switch their telecoms and broadband services to Noventre. Crucially, they wanted a managed network service with a backup solution to avoid any more broadband downtime and contactless payment issues.
